Homepage – this
is the name given to the main page of your website
Username – the name you give yourself when you set up your
website
Password – we automatically send you a password via email.
Once you have this you can login and edit your website.
Don’t tell anyone else your username or password or they
can change your website.
We will never request your password, personal details or payment
details via email.
Login – enter your username and password to gain access
to edit your pages.
Logout – returns you to normal “web browsing” when
you’ve finished updating your site
Graphical page borders – a picture frame which surrounds
your pages, you can turn this on or off and change the graphics
on the frame to suit or personalise your website.
Link - name given to a picture or piece of text that takes you
to another page when you click on it.
More link – allows you add more pages to your web site quickly
and easily – with no programming
Preview – see what your website looks like before you “logout”
HTML – the programming language used to build webpages from
scratch.
Spam – unwanted email sent to your email address without
your permission – if you suffer from large amounts of spam
visit
Content Item – an item of content (text and/or picture)
that makes up part or all of your homepage
Web forwarding – redirecting visitors from your www domain
name to your up-to-the-minute website. |
